The Sarak Samhita and Sushruta Samhita are the oldest and unauthorized comments of all.

The Vedas provide a complete description of the science of nutrition, but also go beyond good nutrition (including lower animals know exactly what to eat to stay healthy) and teach us how to spiritualize the feeding process by transforming all culinary activities offering them to the Supreme. This art is quite simple and advanced practitioners of yoga will never forget.

The disease is one of the four basic bodily miseries, and therefore care should be taken seriously it kept clean of weeds or weeds that make it useless for self-cultivation.

According to the Vedas the disease should be treated as if the fire extinguish it as soon as it appears. Better yet is to lead a healthy lifestyle to prevent upset of the body.
